Now all of the Palms we're seeing in such numbers this trip and every Palm
we've seen down here in over 20 years of Fall/Winter trips, have been Western
Palms.
Hi Norm,
I don't know where they go (the Easterns), but I can distinctly recall my
life Palm Warbler, also a Western. We had just moved from western MD to
central Florida, in Jan. 1975 and were staying in an efficiency motel until our
house was ready. I was birding the grounds behind the motel and I spotted a
small bird on a tree trunk which angled out over the edge of the lake. It was my
life Palm Warbler, and the tree was indeed a palm tree!
