After waking a bit late on Sunday morning I met up with John Hubbell and
drove to Bethel/St. Line Rd. in Wicomico County to search for the sparrows
that Haffner and Powell had last Sunday. Unfortunately when we got there
the wind was blowing fairly hard and it was difficult to get the sparrows to
show themselves. Swamp, Song, White-crown (all immature), Lincoln's (2),
and White-throats were seen. Western palm Warbler and a Yellow Palm
Warbler, one each, were also seen.
We then headed to the Berlin Sewage Ponds where there was a nice assemblage
of waterfowl and other birds
