I would suggest you try Eagle Optics. They are an online store but
I understand they will send along one or more pairs of binoculars
for you to compare in the field. They have a huge selection of
binoculars, very competitive prices, and, best of all, if you get to
their website via the link on the home page of the MD Ornithological
Society (www.mdbirds.org), MOS will get 5% of the purchase price.
Such a deal!

I am in no way associated with Eagle Optics, either professionally
nor otherwise, but I have purchased many binoculars and telescopes
from them and have always found them knowledgable, helpful, and very
fast to ship.

Best,
Norm Saunders
