During a quick pre-game check of Battery Kemble Park in NW DC, I did not 
find any Black-capped Chickadees but did see a Red-breasted Nuthatch (in 
the pines near the parking lot), Winter Wren, and Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.

Waterfowl in the area included 6 Hooded Mergansers at Chain Bridge pond 
and 2 male Redheads among the Ring-necked Ducks at Georgetown Reservoir.
