I want to thank Hank for getting me on the bird at 1:15. It reappeared again
at 1:30, pipping away. I heard it again somewhere around 2:15, but
it did not manifest itself.
A nice, on-line recording of that call is at
http://www.naturesongs.com/pass.html Our bird was calling at a faster rate
than that recording.
Also seen today were Great Blue Heron, Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker (found by
a couple from Baltimore, Golden-Crowned Kinglet, E. Bluebird, Brown
Creeper, and usual chicakdees (no Black-capeed)and titmice. A Pileated
Woodpecker was calling in the distance.
The HAFL did not reappear as of 3:00, when I left
