There are a pair of Red-necked Grebes at Beauvue Ponds, Abel's Wharf Road,
Leonardtown, St. Mary's Co. They have been there for over a week. Today I went
back to make sure I saw what I thought I saw. This time I got a good look at
the relatively large yellow bills. Most of the other waterfowl are Ring-necks.
One of the ponds across from the road into MD Rock, held 10 Hooded Mergansers.
No sign of SEOs.

Have been seeing a male N. Harrier coursing a farm field along St. Jerome's
Neck Road, Dameron. Also have a pair of Bald Eagles haunting our yard, one has
been taking nesting material into a loblolly on our point. Twice we have
watched them mating on one of our osprey platforms. Very early for that, isn't it?
