Hi all Just a quick note to report that on Sat Dec 5, 05 at the Rt
309 Pond about 1 mile from Rt 213 near Centreville Maryland .It held
Lots of Canada Geese , 1 Cackling Goose, Gadwall 1 , many Mallards and
about 46 Black Ducks. In the middle of all this action was one lone
female Longtailed Duck it seemed a little shy and was chased about by
the Geese at times. Long Tailed Ducks are quite common in Maryland
and Queen Annes County in the Bay and large parts of the rivers in the
area . But this was a first time for me seeing one in a pond inland .
