December 14:
We arrived at " The Hammond's Spot" (Euyanomous vine) around 11:30. Had only
to wait 5 minutes when Sherri Peruzzi spotted the little bird which gave her a
most appreciated lifer for the day.
We asked a birder if there was anyplace to eat lunch that would be closer
than a half hour away. Sure enough The Monkton Village Market, across the road
from the train depot, fit the bill perfectly.
The sign says coffee & hot cocoa but they present a delicious array of
freshly baked organic-veggie food reminiscent of Greece. If you have a sweet tooth
try the cookies, the best brownie-fudge in Balto county or chose from an
outstanding array of organic chocolate. The prices are reasonable to downright
cheap.
