Greetings,

I had a good (quick) CBC yesterday around the Charlestown area of Cecil
County. I covered Mountain Hill Road, Carpenter's Point Road, and the town
of Charlestown. notables were 4 Screech Owls, Red-breasted Nuthatches at
nearly EVERY stop (total 19!!), an adult Lesser Black-backed Gull, A. Tree
Sparrow (3), over 4500 Common Mergansers on the North East River, 5 Black-
capped Chickadees, and last BUT NOT LEAST; 66 Long-tailed Ducks on the
North East, River!!!! This was a county bird for me, I never-ever would
have expected to get this many in the county in my life time, let alone in
one day on the North East River!

Good Birding,
