The immature Snowy Owl that was found at Hart-Miller Island on Saturday, December 17, 2005 is still being seen by island employees as of Thursday December 22, 2005. On Saturday it was found standing on the shell nesting island in the South Cell; on Thursday, it was located at the North Cell spillway at the northeast-most corner of the island. Hence, the owl could be anywhere on the island at any point in time.

Maryland Environmental Service employees will be working their regular shift on Saturday, December 24, so there will be a boat running to the island. If anyone is interested in spending the day on the the island on Saturday, please e-mail me by Thursday evening so that I can make arrangments on Friday morning for Saturday.
