I too hit some of the standard spots in DC, just got a later start than Mike
Bowen and crew. I visited Hains Point, Anacostia River Park, Kenilworth
Park, the Arboretum, McMillan Reservoir & Georgetown Reservoir. Saw most of
the same species as Mike, plus the following:

GREATER SCAUP - 1 bird with Lessers on the Potomac (not with the large raft
of Lessers on the Anacostia)
COOPER'S HAWK - Arb
RED-TAILED HAWK - 2 at Arb
Peregrine Falcon - not new to list, but I just wanted to say that I saw 1 on
the RR bridge and another at Kenilworth Park
Lesser Black-backed Gull - again, not new, but just that there were 2 adults
near the Navy Yard (visible from Anacostia River Park)
BELTED KINGFISHER
NORTHERN FLICKER
EASTERN PHOEBE - Arb
EASTERN BLUEBIRD - Arb
HERMIT THRUSH - Arb
CAROLINA CHICKADEE
TUFTED TITMOUSE
WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH
EASTERN TOWHEE - Arb
SAVANNAH SPARROW - Kenilworth Park

Good birding,
