Today at lunch, most of the interesting birds were near the
FDR Memorial. In the shrubs and on the field between
the Memorial and the Potomac, there were flocks of
American Robins, Canada Geese, Brown-headed Cowbirds
and Starlings. There was a Hermit Thrush at the south
end of the Memorial.
At the boat dock on the Tidal Basin were a dozen
Greater Black-backed Gulls, a few Herring Gulls and
a dozen Ring-billed Gulls.
