Hi all today sat Jan 21, 06 after birding the best part of the day
with a friend from Delaware in Delaware . I went through Barclay in
northern QA county on Rt 302 on my way home and saw a huge flock of Snow
Geese on either side of Big Woods Rd and near it . Rough estimated number
5,000 . I turned in here to scope the Snows looking for a Ross's Goose .
Looking through the flock and reading 1 neck collar on a snow yellow with
black letters EH08 all the geese got up swireling through the air for about
5 to 8 min before resettling back in the field way off the road .
Looking around to see what had spooked the geese I noticed an Immature Bald
eagle in the air it kept on going to the northwest . While the snows were
overhead I saw one Ross's Goose . When I got near Centreville turned
onto 213 twords Wye Mills , then turning onto RT 309 to the pond about 1
mile away checked the waterfowl here .

Snow Goose 1
Canada Geese about 100 in a field about a quarter of a mile before the
pond
Lesser Scaup 20
Ring Necked Duck 32 mostly males
Tundra Swan 10
Bufflehead 3 total 2 male 1 female
Mallard 3
Ruddy Duck 1

Than near Sunset on Rolling Biridge Road close to Rt 301 a field here
hosted about 1,000 Snow Geese . I could not find anything different in
them .
