Today brought about a morning and evening trip for me, as I checked out the
shore areas of the Patapsco-Stoney Creek area of northern Anne Arundel
County.
I had been sick most of last week, so it's good to be in the field again.
Riviera Beach (Pond Area):
DC Cormorant: 60+ this morning around White Rocks, only 5 in the evening
M. Swan: 2 subadult, one was seriously injured
Mallard: 40
LT DUCK: 10 4 hens and 6 drakes
Bufflehead: 35 total
G. Scaup: c. 50
C. Goldeneye: 10
RB Gull: 35
GBB Gull: 1

DC Cormorant: 2
C. Goose: 3
Mallard: 6
Bufflehead: 8

DC Cormorant: 1

Bald Eagle: 2 Flew over, circled and left to the west, both adults
Cooper's Hawk: 1
C. Waxwing: 20+ Foraging
Yard: (Sunset Beach Community):
SS Hawk: 1 Terrorizing my Juncos for several days now
YB Sapsucker: 2 They followed one another from tree to tree and vocalized
often. Fun to watch.
Junco: 15+
WT Sparrow: 12
