On Saturday, January 28, 2006, I led the Cecil Bird Club gull field trip to
the Cecil County Landfill in the morning (8am - noon). The participants
were Charlie Gant, Bob Hickman, Parke John, Sean McCandless, Paul Noell, Bob
Ringler, Leslie Starr, Bud Tripp, Joe Turner, and Marcia Watson.
Participant demographics were Baltimore (3), Carroll Co. (1), Cecil Co.
(4), and New Castle Co., DE (2). Gull diversity was minimal.

For lunch, six of us went to Woody's Crab House ( www.woodyscrabhouse.com )
in North East, MD. This is one of my favorite restaurants in North East. I
have eaten at Woody's many times and they succeeded in pleasing us again.
Two of the entree salads were exceptional. One was a grilled tuna steak
served over fresh garden greens and the other was 12 grilled shrimp on
skewers served with steamed asparagus spears over a bed of fresh garden
greens. Extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar completed the entrees.
Woody's Crab House has an extensive seafood menu and I heartily recommend
Woody's to anyone birding in Cecil County.

After lunch, we visited the North East Town Park (2pm - 3pm). Again, gull
diversity was minimal.

Canada Goose

Great Blue Heron
*BALD EAGLE - 1 (immature)
