Hello,
The Ruff was back in place at 4:30 PM when Tori, Shelly and I were there. It was in the company of a Greater Yellowlegs and 3 Killdeer. Earlier, we had been to Blackwater and saw the 3 White Pelicans. Afterwords, we went down Elliot's Island Rd as far as Gadwall Bend where we had 2 Blue-wing Teal, but no gadwalls. A short stop around the old yellow house revealed Harriers and an eagle, but no Short-eared Owl. But the beautiful magenta sunset was worth the ride. Recent marsh burning and a very high tide (water over the road in at least 4 places) made it look like you were driving through the bay.

Good Birding,
