Next Saturday I will be blasting down I-81 and will pass near Hagerstown.
As pathetic as it may sound, I still have not seen Black-capped Chickadee,
Common Raven, and Ruffed Grouse in Maryland. Judging from the last MD
atlas, that part of Maryland does not look really good for these species
but if someone knows of a good place for one or more near Hagerstown please
let me know. Please reply off-list to: harryarmistead at hotmail dot com
. Thanks. When I retire I hope to finally do some birding in the
mountains of Maryland. Best to all: Harry Armistead, 523 E. Durham St.,
Philadelphia, PA 19119-1225. 215-248-4120.
