Tom and everyone else,
I've got a good mid-identification for you. My better half and I were in
Texas a couple of Aprils ago. We came upon a group of birders straining
their necks to look at a Cerulean Warbler. This in and of itself was a
pretty good migrant to see and all were excited. Well, Elaine suggests I
call out an Ivory-billed just for fun. In my laughter I thought I saw a
Kirtland's Warbler and mentioned it too her a bit too loudly. This comment
drew some unbelieving looks from my fellow birders. After another spot, it
turns out he was a Grace's Warbler. A pretty good find all in all, but not
a Kirtland's!
