To expand on what Mike posted from BNA, both "dominica" and "albilora"
subspecies of Yellow-throated Warbler breed in MD. The nominate form
"dominica" breeds on the coastal plain and is typically associated with
Loblolly pine. On the lower Eastern Shore, they are often in the same
areas as Brown-headed Nuthatches. The subspecies "albilora," which has
the common name of Sycamore Warbler, breeds west of the Fall Line
typically in Sycamores along major rivers. There was a rumor a few
years ago that the AOU was about to split Yellow-throated Warbler, but
I haven't heard anything lately.

As far as the Worcester County records go, I've been looking for
"albilora" on Assateague in August for the past few years. I would
expect them to be regular there in the redetermined migration.
Unfortunately, flyover warblers aren't the easiest to study lore color
on. The few I've had good looks at have all been dominica, but that is
a small percentage of the birds I've seen on the island.

Norm, could you or Bob or Matt comment on how this differs from the
more
likely subspecies here? The only YTWAs I've seen in MD were in N.
Pocomoke Swamp, although I heard one at Little Bennett a couple of
years
  ago.
