Birding at Antietam National Battlefield this morning I saw a large flock of
American Robins along Mansfield Ave in the woods (in what would have been
part of the East Woods of the battlefield). After 30 of them I gave up
counting. They were moving in and out of the trees, but mostly congregating
on a serviceberry tree. At 27 degrees with a cold wind blowing I needed
something to remind me spring really is on its way!
