Birders
I spent a couple of hours cruising western Montgomery and southern Frederick
counties late this afternoon:
At Black Hill Regional Park (Montgomery County), there was a Horned Grebe on
the lake near the Visitor Center.
On Oland Road (Frederick County), between route 85 and New Design Rd, there
was a Lapland Longspur in a flock of ~120 Horned Larks, in a field south of
the road.
On my way home after dark, I heard a Barred Owl calling at the east end of
Hunting Quarter Rd in McKee-Beshers Wildlife Management Area (Montgomery
County).
Cheers
