I just wanted to put out a word of caution for those searching for the Cambridge Glaucous Gull. This afternoon, Hans Holbrook found a white gull on a pier just west of Oakley St that appeared to be a leucistic Herring Gull. The gull is the size of an average Herring Gull and has an all black bill, which should make it easily separable from Glaucous and more likely to be confused with a large Iceland. Basically it appears dirty white all over with a few scattered brown splotches. It can definitely cause some excitement when viewed at a distance.

The weekend was very productive even with the cancelled pelagic. I'll post tomorrow if someone else doesn't beat me to it (I hope they do :) ).
