N. AA County: Waterfowl, Raptors, etc.

Hello all.

The wind was gusting hard but the waterfowl could still be found in 
Northern Anne Arundel County today. Today's survey also featured 3 Bald 
Eagles, a hunting Cooper's Hawk, the usual Gull selection, the continued 
presence of the Weinberg Park Red-headed Woodpecker and lots of Robins 
moving through.

Weinberg Park (Rock Creek):

G. Blue Heron: 2  One by the pond and one on the shore of the cove
DC Cormorant: 2  
C. Goose: 4
Mallard: 4  On the pond
Bufflehead: 4  Close to the cove
C. Goldeneye: 2  Close to Ft. Smallwood
WOOD DUCK: 3  On the pond, 1 drake, 2 hens
RB Gull: 9
H. Gull: 1
GBB Gull: 2  Flyover
Bald Eagle: 2  (Both adults) Flyover 1 minute apart headed northwest
C. Hawk: 1
RH WOODPECKER: 1  Wintering subadult almost completely molted
A. Robin: 350+  Moving through in several flocks
E. Towhee: 8  Yes, "Only" 8
WT Sparrow: 16 total
C. Grackle: 250+  Flyover due west in two flocks
