All,
I enjoy reading your posts in the archives. Since I don't bird in MD very
often, I have not been a member.
Thanks to Rob Hilton for posting my observation of the singing Common
Yellowthroat today in Columbia.
To the one detractor of the observation (which has prompted me to actually
join MarylandOsprey): Of course it is extremely unlikely that a Common
Yellowthroat would be singing on March 1st! That is PRECISELY why I went
through the effort of letting Rob know so all of you could find out about
it. My ears work, and the bird was there. I would encourage someone to go
to the spot tomorrow. The bird will possibly still be there. I heard the
bird at about 11:20 AM.
Thanks,
Jay Keller,
