Folks

Yesterday I had six woodpecker species visit the property. The only locally expected woodpecker absent was Red-headed. Downy, Hairy, Red-bellied, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Northern Flicker, and Pileated were present.

I mention this since March 15 is safe dates for Red-bellied, Downy, Hairy, and Pileated. Red-cockaded is also in safe date on March 15. If anyone finds one of these in MD, I will be pleased to check it out for them. Northern Cardinal comes in Mar. 15 also.

Carolina Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, and Carolina Wren are in safe date - March 1. A Carolina Wren is singing on territory as I type this note. House Sparrow came in Feb. 1, and sad to say there is a male hanging around this year instead of Ralph the Raven.

Barred Owl and Great Horn have been in for some time.

Walter - anything else.

Go Atlasing.

George
