I did hear the call that Jay and Rick heard. I agree it was an interesting
call. It was given as a bird jumped up out of the brush on the opposite
side of the canal and then flew immediately back down into the brush a few
yards away. I didn't see the bird well, but it didn't seem to have the
right jizz for a warbler. Basically, it didn't strike me as the Townsend's.
