Hello all.

Rebecca Kolberg and I visited Swan Creek this morning to check out the
trails for the open house on March 25th. Before we went in, I checked out
Kembo Road and was happy with the results.

Highlights:

Kembo Road:

T. Swan: 55 Flyover headed west
Osprey: 3 One flyover and two hanging out near a nest that has been in
annual use.
RT Hawk: 1 Local bird
W. Snipe: 2 Flushed by the terminus of the creek
T. Swallow: 3 Actively hunting and good views when perched
E. Phoebe: 1 Hawking insects in the flooded area halfway up the road
G. Catbird: 1 One of at least 3 that wintered in this area
Fox Sparrow: 1 I never get tired of seeing these

Also:

Brandon Woods Pond:

C. Goose: 4
GW Teal: 2
RN Duck: 6
H. Merganser: 1 drake

Best to all,

Matt Grey
