The wild area in the shadow of the S Capitol St Br hosted a W Snipe this
AM, while a dozen singing male Song Sparrows could only have been mostly
migrants at that density - one so rufous as to suggest one of the Alaska
races. An E. Phoebe was in full song, the first I've heard this year. A
pair of Red-shoulders seemed to be investigating nest sites, and a V of
260 Tundra Swans passed overhead.
Meanwhile, here in Bowie migration of geese and swans continues with
Tundra swans in one string "so long I couldn't count them all",
according to Jane.
