On this cloudy but pleasant morning, twelve birders, led by Wayne Bell,
checked out the forest and waterfront habitats of Centaur Farm and were
rewarded with views or songs of 54 species.
    Highlights:
        Common Loons
        Horned Grebe
        Tundra Swans (departing)
        Hermit Thrush
        Eastern Phoebe
        Bald Eagle
        Brown-headed Nuthatch
        Yellow-bellied Sapsucker
        Pine Warblers (several singing)
Surf Scoters, Buffleheads, Long-tailed Ducks, Common Goldeneye
Great views of a Hairy Woodpecker, and also saw or heard Downy,
Red-bellied, Flicker
            and Pileated.

After the birding, most of the group gathered at the home of Sue Ormsby
for a delicious breakfast.
