Rocky Gap had about 25 or 26 Red-breasted Mergansers this morning and a
big group (more than 20) Lesser Scaup and maybe close to equal numbers
of Ring-necked Ducks. There were at least 2 Horned Grebes and 1
Pied-billed, some Coots, and a couple of Ring-billed Gulls. Ray said he
saw some Green-winged Teal and Wood Ducks there too but I couldn't
re-locate these. I did have 2 Bufflehead. There have been Redheads
around in some #'s at Rocky Gap (and a few Common & Hooded Mergs) and
Redheads at McCagh's Pond (Mason Road).

Further down I-68 at Big Pool I had a single Ruddy Duck, a male
Canvasback, 2 Am Black Ducks, 2 Gadwall, 1 Am. Wigeon, and 3 Blue-winged
Teal.

At Sycamore Landing there were a few Myrtles but I did not see any other
warblers. Lots of Waxwings, Creepers, Kinglets, Chickadees, Titmice, a
couple of Sapsuckers, a Hermit Thrush, White-throats, Song Sparrows
(thought I glimpsed a Fox Sparrow).
