The woodcocks are still displaying at UMBC, we were there at dusk last night
and saw 6 flying and were surrounded by "peents".  The spring peepers were
drowning out the sound of the woodcocks closer to the drainage pond.

 

Question- Sadly there is a sign up at that area that a technology center is
to be built in that area where the woodcocks are.  Does anyone know when
that is scheduled to happen?  The sign was there last year  but thankfully
construction hasn't yet begun.
