Hi all   with   all the recent talk of  the  Media  messing up bird Id in  
photos  here is another  on for the books .   In  our local  paper  the Star 
  Democrat out of Easton  yesterday  they had a nice article on last 
weekends Eagle  festival  at the Blackwater  Wildlife Refuge .   In a photo  
that went along with said article  a   Native American  man had  a owl on 
his arm .   Caption read he was holding a Great Horned  Owl  .   Sure looked 
  looked like a Barred owl to me .  I would be interested in hearing from  
some easternshore  folks  on want they thought  the owl was .  It was not a 
great shot of the owl  and the head  was sideways .  But could   see no ear 
tufts  head was round , Streaking pattern  looked more like a Barred owl .
