I'm looking for help in finding species numbers for a database project I've
created in MS Access to track "my" birds (and my humble life list).  I've of
course made use of the bird banding codes at the Patuxent River Wildlife R
esearch Center and it's been very helpful.  I've found, though, that there
are gaps, for example the Wild Turkey is not listed.  I could be overlooking
the obvious.  So, is there another source of the species number codes?   The
codes are important for my database because I want the birds in ABA order
and would rather not create a bogus ID number to sort the list.  The species
numbers performs the same task admirably.
