One of the many "grackle guys" currently hanging out in my yard has a strip
of white edging on his feathers where the greenish-blue of the head meets
the purplish-brown of the back.

|A number of years ago I was doing the Sugar Loaf CBC and there was a huge
flock of grackles at the corner of Rt. 80 and Park Mills Rd (when it was a
farm, not a golf course!) -- Leo Weigant was doing the sector with me. We
saw the flock fly and saw a bird with white patches in both wings!
Yellow-headed Blackbird???!!! No -- alas -- just an aberrant grackle...
