Weather:
40-50 degrees; cloudy; poor to fair visibility with haze; winds northerly
or variable, 5-7 mph.
Raptor Observations:
An immature Bald Eagle sat in a nearby tree for over an hour. An Osprey buzzed it once; the eagle was unimpressed.
Non-raptor Observations:
Two, possibly 3 Red-headed Woodpeckers, 1 Surf Scoter, pair of Northern Shovelers, two pairs of Green-winged Teals, 4 Long-tailed Ducks.

Site Description:
Fort Smallwood Park is located on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Patapsco River, 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. Best winds are from the southwest. Anne Arundel County has recently taken over the operation of the Park from the City of Baltimore. It is currently closed to the general public for renovations and will reopen April 1. Advance permission from the compiler needed until then to visit hawkwatch.
