Lisa Shannon, Gail MacKiernan, Barry Cooper and I
enjoyed the Glossy Ibis at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens
this morning. It was in the center area of the water
lily impoundments; At one point it was flying around,
being harassmed by crows.

We also saw a few Rusty Blackbirds off to the right as
we were walking down the beginning of the River Trail.
Also there was a pair of Wood Ducks.

As we were leaving we spied a few Black Vultures high
in the sky, along with a Red-tailed Hawk.

There are five Great Blue Heron nests on/near the
north edge of the aquatic gardens. These nests are
visible from US 50 a little to the west of the US
50/295 interchange. On our way to K. A. G. one heron
was in attendence; on our way out I saw two herons
perched near the nests.
