Yesterday (3/27) a brief visit to the newly designed ponds at Pickering
Creek revealed that the birds are already beginning to find them. The
newest filled pond, beside Presquile Road, had one Pectoral Sandpiper along
with three Killdeer. The end closest to the road seemed to be a favored
place for the bird - and certainly was a favored place for viewing.
Other birds on the grounds included 50 or more Green-winged Teal,
several Black Ducks, and lots of Tree Swallows.
