Reported by Joe Neal to the Birds of Arkansas Discussion List:

I recently had some correspondence with Doug James and Timothy
Barksdale
about reports that Brown Creepers had been observed nesting
within the
cypress-tupelo habitats being searched for Ivory-billed
Woodpeckers. (For
those new to Arkansas: creepers are pretty common statewide in
migration
and winter, but summer records are very sparse.) Barksdale spent
120 days
in summer 2004 as part of the secret Ivory-billed search effort.
During
this time he observed 3-4 territorial birds and also saw young
birds being
fed out of the nest by adults (some young birds still had fuzzy
wisps of
down on their heads, indicating recent fledging). This seems to
be
Arkansas's first confirmed creeper nesting. Barksdale also noted
that since
he was pretty glued to a few fixed points, it's easy to surmise
other
nesting birds. ...
