Hi, birders,

I have been enjoying the "new yard bird" thread, so when a new species came
into my yard early this evening, I decided I had to share it, even though it
was in AZ and not MD. So, if you want to delete, now is the time.

We had dinner on the patio for the first time this year, as it is now light
and warm at 6 p.m. local time. I had my binoculars to hand, so when there
was a movement in one of the native Apache Plume shrubs, I was thrilled to
find a male Lucy's Warbler working its way up and down the twigs, checking
out the tiny leaves for insects. The only other warbler that I have had in
the garden in the past two years is "Audubon's" Yellow-rumped Warblers
during the winter.

Cheers, Erika Wilson (Sierra Vista, AZ)
