Hi MD Osprey:
Sorry this late ... catching up on email, here ...
Just a reminder that the Common Teal is reviewable as an unusual form or
subspecies for MD. The British have already split the "Eurasian" Common
Teal (Anas crecca crecca) into a separate species from the "American"
Green-winged Teal (Anas crecca carolinensis) and the expectation is that
the American Ornithological Union (AOU) may follow suit some time in the
future. Therefore, this could be a Maryland "bank bird" for you.
Report, photos, etc. would be welcome.
Thanks.
Phil
