Hi --

Barry and I went up to Back River and vicinity today, still lots of Bonaparte's Gulls about (estimated 700-750) and most still in winter plumage. Unfortunately, no Little Gulls were seen although these can always be missed as many birds were perched on the Diamond Pt. mud flats. We did see 3 Caspian Terns and a Laughing Gull in summer plumage, also 100s of swallows, 99% or more being Tree.

This may be a late passage due to the generally unfavorable winds in the past few weeks so we will continue to check the area periodically. A bit disappointing for LIGU, though -- last year we had them most every day.
