Subject: [va-bird] Close. but no cigar
Hi List,
Just across the river in Bethesda, Maryland, near Glen Echo Park, I had
a small flock of four Evening Grosbeaks just before noon today. They were
vocalizing constantly and landed in a Tulip Poplar right over the job I was
working on. This seems to be a good time of year for these Flying Pigs to
drift
about. Keep your ears to the sky for these sounds. They are quite
distinctive.
