Heard my first White-eyed Vireo of the year in the Ten-mile Creek
section of Black Hill this morning, but couldn't get a good look.

Other birds at Ten-mile Creek (along with cardinals, chickadees,
titmice and song sparrows) included:

1 Winter Wren
2 Carolina Wrens
1 Field Sparrow
1 Brown-headed Cowbird (female)
2 European Starlings
7 Ruddy Ducks
3 Bufflehead
1 Louisiana Waterthrush (heard only)
1 Red-bellied Woodpecker (female)
1 Downy Woodpecker (female)
1 Pileated Woodpecker
2 Blue Jays
2 American Crows
a few Blue-gray Gnatcatchers
several Eastern Towhees (males and females)
several Cedar Waxwings (heard only)
several Ruby-crowned Kinglets
several Tree Swallows
several White-throated Sparrows
several Canada Goose pairs

Also had two Double-crested Cormorants on Little Seneca Lake from the
Rt. 121 bridge, and a Pied-billed Grebe in the cove near the boat
ramp/boat parking lot.
