Hello Birders,

I had a very nice morning at the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens today -
lovely sunshine, cool temperatures, and lots of birds. After the KAG, I
made a short stop at Anacostia Park to look for gulls. Here are the
highlights:

Common Loon (KAG, overflight)
Pied-billed Grebe (KAG)
Great Egret (KAG)
Snowy Egret (KAG)
Green-winged Teal (KAG)
Osprey (KAG, AP)
Bald Eagle (KAG)
Wilson's Snipe (KAG)
Greater Yellowlegs (KAG)
Caspian Tern (AP)
Chimney Swift (KAG)
Eastern Phoebe (KAG)
Tree Swallow (KAG, AP)
Northern Rough-winged Swallow (KAG)
Bank Swallow (AP)
Barn Swallow (KAG)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet (KAG)
Gray Catbird (KAG)
Brown Thrasher (KAG)
Hermit Thrush (KAG)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (KAG)
Palm Warbler (KAG)
Louisiana Waterthrush (KAG)

There were also Spring Peepers chorusing at the KAG. I think that may
have been the first time I heard them this spring.

Good birding,

John Beetham
