Hi Everyone,

My girlfriend Becky and I did a few hours of atlasing this afternoon in my Curtis Bay SW block in Anne Arundel Co. Noteworthy birds included the following:

Red-tailed Hawk--1 very vocal bird flying over the woods
Greater Yellowlegs--1
Solitary Sandpipers--4
Barred Owl--1
* No Whips or Chucks calling yet
White-eyed Vireo--1
Blue-gray Gnatcatchers--3
Wood Thrushes--20+!
Gray Catbirds--2
Brown Thrasher--1
Black-and-white Warbler--1
Ovenbirds--3
Common Yellowthroats--15+
Hooded Warbler--1 already on its usual territory
Eastern Towhees--30+
White-throated Sparrows--10+

We also made a brief stop at Fort Armistead, where Becky's sharp eyes picked up on a GLOSSY IBIS flying west away from Fort Carroll. Cool county bird.

Have a great weekend!

Bill

p.s. I've posted a new batch of photos to my web site from a recent "work" trip to Texas: http://www.billhubick.com.
