I took a short walk at Hughes this evening with one of my sons, Alex. We flushed 2 Common Moorhen that flew to the center of the main impoundment and stayed there till we left. Several Bank Swallow joined the Tree Swallow flock. We also saw several Rusty Blackbirds in the wet woods along Sycamore Landing Rd.

I did some atlasing earlier today, though winter holdovers still very much in evidence, including White-crowned Sparrow in song about 1 mile before the turf farms.
