I continued looking Saturday and Sunday for rare wanderers etc., in hopes
of seeing an anhinga(!) or W-f ibis. As expected, I found none! The only
uncommon migrants found here were on Saturday there were two glossy ibis
at Billingsley Marsh, and Sunday I had one snowy egret. On Saturday I saw
a large group of 51 lesser yellowlegs that stopped briefly on a mud flat,
and Sunday I saw several spotted sandpipers, the first of season here, and
also a great view of a group of 29 B-wing Teal. The tide Sunday was
unusually high, with very little ground to stand on. A harrier was
hunting over the marsh as well.
At my house I enjoyed listening to a talkative scarlet tanager Sunday
morn, and the hummers have returned!
Cheers-
