Hi All,

More migrants either came in last night dodging the thunderstorms, or they decided to make themselves known today. Yesterday's arrivals were Wood Thrush, as characteristic a sound of summer as goose music characterizes winter around our place, and a Red-eyed Vireo giving a lengthy Sunday sermon. What would a summer woodland be without those two? To top things off we saw our first male hummer of the spring at the feeder in the evening (ca. 6:30), he knew just where to go.

Today's arrivals were warblers: Yellow Warbler (scarce in our yard), Black-and-white Warbler, American Redstart, and KENTUCKY WARBLER. Nancy also had a House Wren in Chestertown this morning.

Happy Spring,

Walter Ellison
