Yesterday we held our annual BIG DAY listing trip. We searched the county from (almost) dawn to after nightfall to get as many species as possible. Didn't break our previous record of 119 but we did find a tolerable 109. We had very few migrant warblers which was disappointing. However we did have a remarkable sighting which was a new county bird for every member of the trip. A RAVEN flew over as we stood at the tracks on marriotsville RD. Every member of the group got a great look at the bird and we enjoyed the comparison of a crow harassing it.
