Eight fine birders joined me today for the Baltimore Bird Clubs trip to
Soldiers Delight NEA (Natural Environment Area). We were graced with the
company of El Presidente Ultimo. Thats the last time we carry anyone three
(plus) miles!
Highlights: A male SUMMER TANAGER! Fourteen warbler species: Nashville,
Chestnut Sided, Black-throated Blue, Mytle, Black-throated Green, Pine,
Prairie, Palm (Western), Black-and-white, Worm-eating, Ovenbird, Common
Yellowthroat, Hooded, and Yellow-breasted Chat (heard only). Two
Red-breasted Nuthatch foraged in the scrub pines on the East side of Deer
Park Road. Veery, and Yellow-billed Cuckoo.
The birding was great; but, company was better. Thank you for coming along.
